About US at kingsriver estate
|
Have you ever wondered why the old wine farmers were prosperous and lived in beautiful mansions like Constantia and in France in “Chateaux”? Those estates were self sufficient, produced excellent quality and developed a reputable brand.
I believe this is still possible today and there is no need for a wine farmer to struggle.
To help me achieve this goal, I am constantly looking for people who believe in this and are able to contribute. They need to excel in their trade and be artists and philosophers. Be able “To make money”. For money is not a static quantity – to be seized, begged, inherited, shared, looted or obtained as a favor. Wealth has to be created. (“Atlas Shrugged” by Ayn Rand).

Kingsriver Estate is situated near the charming Victorian village of McGregor in the Robertson Wine area. Embraced by the hills of the Kingsriver Valley, our farm is blessed with many precious gifts from nature. The farm covers more than 350 hectares, of which 39 hectares are under cultivation. Of this, 26 hectares is allocated for vineyards with high quality red varieties such as Ruby Cabernet and white varieties such as Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay and Colombar. Our first vintage is 2005 and was first released at the McGregor Country Tastes Festival. Our other crops include apricots, herbs and lucerne.
We also have joint ownership of a 5000 hectares area which encompasses the massive Kingsriver dam. Our guests have access to this area for hiking and picnics. |
