Newsletter - Winter EditionFriends of Kingsriver, It has been some time since our last chat, and I want to apologise for not keeping in touch, but I am pleased to be able to tell you that this time has not been wasted. I have so much to tell you. As many of you know, I have often spoken of my dream to create an idyllic place to entertain friends, give them a good time and create memories that last a lifetime. And over the past few months, I have been hard at work doing just that. Kingsriver is a place that my friends and their friends, YOUR friends, will visit. A place that will inspire memories, guarantee good times and nurture friendships. Where to begin…? May was a busy, and wet, month. We opened our restaurant doors over the Wacky Wine Weekend, early in June. What a wonderful experience we had, not even the mud and the rain could keep the visitors away. Thankfully, the first three rooms in our Estate’s guesthouse were ready and we could offer warm, cosy beds to the weary. Word spread fast about the surprises that were waiting to greet them, because demand completely exceeded supply. We will definitely be providing more rooms in the near future. We have just about completed our Estate tavola-table restaurant. We want our food, like our wine, to be slow, healthy and wholesome. We want our friends to take time out to slowly enjoy our gently prepared food, paired with the perfect bottle of Kingsriver origin, Shiraz, Ruby Cabernet or Blend. We wish to delight you with our very personal, very professional service and make you feel as special as we think you are. I believe that our service is what is going to really set us apart.
