Mzansi 2005
Mzansi 2005 is a rich full bodied blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Ruby Cabernet. The wine is unfiltered to enjoy the ripe tannins from 12 months maturing in French oak barrels. The typical blackberry taste from the Cabernet is not lost in the subtle blending. Hints of peppermint and black chocolate add an extra dimension to this strong character wine. The blend is ready to be enjoyed with your main course but can easily be saved for memorable moments in time with family and friends. It will develop a depot over the years as a sign of our traditional farmers approach
Mzansi: a very special name
The name Mzansi is Zulu as well as Xhosa for "the Southern tip of Africa" but it also means "people from the South". The name Mzansi stands for the miracle of South Africa. Not only has it combined the unique variety in nature and culture but also the history and the capability of reconciliation in which South Africa excels. It inspired us to name our wine Mzansi to honour the skills and daily care of the people of the south who grow this wine full of character.
