Our Wines - Mzansi Ruby Cabernet 2005

A small lot from our first harvest 2005. Most of this wine (Bronze at the young wine show 2005) was used to make our MZANSI 2005 blend.

The remaining barrels were left untouched to mature another year. In total this Ruby matured for 2 years on French oak.

Not surprisingly this created a full bodied wine with soft tannins. Hints of Black Chocolate, Fruitcake and a little “Smoky”.

Typically a wine for aging. Start drinking after 2 years. (2009)

And Surprise………… We still have 1 barrel left as we are also are curious to see what longer maturation will do to the wine.
